Fall is that warm and fuzzy time of year when we get to snuggle up in cozy sweaters and watch the leaves change color. Who doesn’t love the great reds, oranges, yellows and beauty that surrounds us this time of year! The season is infectious, and doesn’t disappoint when it comes to great newborn photography.
The fall color schemes are so rich and beautiful, photographers are already throwing out their summer props for some beautiful autumn tones. We can’t help but notice there are also a lot of new trends this year we are in love with. Don’t miss out on using these new trends in your own studio!
Worm & Cozy Colors
Fall classic colors like wine reds, dark blues, oranges, and chestnut browns are always beautiful for any newborn session. You can never go wrong with a beautiful fall inspired sorbet fur and headband, or a chestnut fur and a nice orange pop of color.
Simple Neutrals and Muted Tones
While an orange or red set can be stunning, sometimes there is a certain elegance to simple colors. We are in love with shots like these that utilize a neutral set, but incorporate color with a simple headband or single layer. More and more photographers are going for a neutral backdrop and simple accessories to let the baby’s cuteness shine on their own. Another trend we just love is the cool tones more and more photographers are using. A great muted purple or blue tone and you can’t go wrong!
Gender Neutral Is In!
No more are the days of girls in just pink and purple, while boys are in blue and grey’s. More and more we are seeing a beautiful cross on the gender line color scale this season. Baby girls are showing off their natural beauty in deep grey colors, while boys are rocking more pale feminine colors. We have to say, we are loving this trend!
Textures & Accessories
Textured pieces and layering wraps are perfect when used appropriately. They can really add dimension to your photos. Whether you are looking for a simple texture to add dimension, or to use on its own for simple elegance, layering pieces are great to use in multiple ways.
When it comes to accessories, you can’t go wrong with simple, or extravagant! It is all about taking latest trends, and matching it with the right family. This shot takes a simple color scheme and plays up the accessories for these music teacher parents. Gorgeous!
